Summary of Application Experience
11/14- After receiving some early interviews from what I consider respectable and good schools (GW, Case and Pitt) things have gone downhill. I was put on the alternate list at GW, on hold at Case and am awaiting a decision from Pitt (not feeling good though). I have received two more interview invites from Drexel and VCU. I was complete early at all my schools except Northwestern, so not having heard anything from the rest of the schools, including my safety schools, is worrying me.
11/21- Heard from Pitt last week, was placed on their waitlist. Also heard from Northwestern over the weekend and was rejected pre-interview. Can't say I didn't expect these, but not getting the interview at NU was less than I had hoped for.
12/1- Completed an abstract for the pediatric research I'm currently working on. I've sent this along with a cover letter mentioning my nomination for a student pediatric research award to the schools who have not yet rejected me. Not sure if this will help.
12/21- No news since my interviews in early December, don't epect to hear anything for a while with the holidays coming up. Was really hoping to be holding an acceptance before New Year's.
1/21- Accepted to University of Cincinnati. Not my first choice, but good to know I've got somewhere to go. Hopefully this will start a trend of acceptances.
2/1- Still no word from Dartmouth, NYU, Tufts, Loyola or Rosalind Franklin. I know NYU is done interviewing, not sure about the others. Considering I completed their secondaries (pretty early too) and paid my money, seems the least they could do is notify me of my rejection.
2/21- Got accepted at Ohio State today, my only question now is when can I order football tickets?
3/25- Accepted by CWRU. Now a tough choice between OSU and Case.
