Summary of Application Experience
AMCAS: verified 6-12
-6/14: really thinking about applying MD only to a few schools, and if accepted subsequently apply to PhD as internal candidate. Some schools (i.e. Hopkin) seem really difficult to get into even for MD only if one applies MD/PhD.
-Decided on all MD/PhD, for better or worse...
-Interviews are fun but juggling them with school is a pain.
Quarter is almost over.. I have been very fortunate during the process so far.
I can't complain, I'm grateful for the outcome, though to be honest the process is inherently random (just sample the MDapp profile pool). Not that you can't sway your odds, good and thorough research into schools and interview preps always helps, but I'm not that disciplined of a person; so you can't be in the zone 100% of time for interviews.
Maybe I can offer more school/app advices if anyone's interested. Good luck.
