    Summary of Application Experience

No scholarship to AECOM. I grew up and attended college around my hometown area and as great as the weather is, I am just kind of over the 'California is the greatest place on earth' kick and want to experience something else. Also I am married and the field she will be working in doesn't really exist in CA. And no UCs have actually admitted me at this point. As far as returning for residency, it would be nice to be close to family again, but I won't be upset if I don't return.

2/22 - Receiving steady flow of rejections, still waiting to hear from NYU and NYMC, but have decided that I am definitely going to AECOM next year. I would withdraw from everywhere else to circumvent further rejections (have already withdrawn all other acceptances) but I am too cheap to spring for postage and too lazy to write and address all of the letters.

1/23 - Received Acceptance letter from AECOM.

12/21 - Returned from NYC. NYU was a great experience, NYMC seems nice and returned to an acceptance letter from RFUMS, Drexel and an updated Temple status page letting me know that I was accepted. Apparently Christmas really falls on the 21st.

12/14 - Temple was great. Laid back interview, tour guides were cool and I am in love with Philadelphia. Called RFUMS and was accepted. WOO HOO!

12/8 - OHSU is an awesome school. Beautiful area. Can't wait to hear.

    11/29 - Email from Davis:
'Your application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee and has been held for further consideration. A final decision on your application will be made after all applicants being considered for admission have been reviewed.
At that time you will be informed whether you have been accepted to the class, placed on the waiting list or not accepted.'

    Whatever that means....

Email interview invite from Temple, Philadelphia rocks!

11/28 - NYMC change interview date to 12/20.

11/22 - Email interview invite from NYMC. Exciting but next available date is March 8, 2006 so a ways out there.

11/19 - Snail mail Dartmouth rejection.

11/9 - Email interview invite from NYU (AWESOME).

11/8 - Drexel interview yesterday, went well, and Rosalind Franklin today, tough to judge. Received a waitlist notification from UCSD.

11/4 - Snail mail interview invite from OHSU.

10/15 - Snail mail interview invite from Rosalind Franklin.

10/13 - San Diego is an awesome school and city and would love to go there. Interview went well, pretty typical. Will hopefully know in about two weeks.

9/30 - Davis interview started horribly but went well overall. Full review available on SDN.

9/26 - Interview from Drexel, called and earliest was November.

9/22 - Rejection Letter from U of Chicago, Pritzker. Apparently NYU, NYMC and USC had granted secondaries in July but I hadn't received them so I called and got access to those.

9/20 - Interview at AECOM went well, New York is awesome, but full review available on www.studentdoctor.net. Received rejection letter Georgetown (bastards) and was put on hold at GWU and UCI. Did receive an interview invite at UC Davis and is Scheduled for Fri. 9/30. Also received interview invite to UCSD and is scheduled for 10/13. Still just waiting for more news.

9/12 - Took a little too long to request LOR and a few are still waiting on these. Other than that just worked on my essays and turned them in as quickly as I could.
