Summary of Application Experience
I can only think of two things that all applicants need to know: APPLY EARLY! I unfortunately was not complete at any schools until mid October, which I feel hindered me in the application cycle.
When you get interviews, the one thing that they are ALL looking for, from my experience, is proof that you know what your getting into - ie the hours, the stress, and what being a doctor today really entails. If you can demonstrate this to adcoms, along with sufficient humanism and all, you'll be straight.
