Other than that I'm worried because I have only a quarters worth of research behind me.
P.S. I get to apply to 13 schools for free with the FAP application, but with all of the comments I think I will add the remaining CA schools to my list. + UCI and UCD
The reason I have such poor research behind me is because I go to a very very small liberal arts school where the professors are all interested in teaching more than they are researching.
Another reason would be that every summer break I take the highest paying job I can get (Notebook Repair Technician @ $15/hr) close to home. I stay close to home so I can take care of my grandma who is now in poor health. She raised me from the time I was 2 until I went off to college so its the least I can do for her.
I was already set on going into medicine for a long time, and when my sister passed away at the age of 19 from stomach cancer I was only more passionate about becoming a doctor. I miss her everyday. I wish I was making any of this up, but unfortunately life has dealt me a cruel hand.
