Summary of Application Experience
To clarify, I spent two years in engineering and then transferred at which point I became a bio major. As the two don't overlap at all, the new major has taken four years worth of work to complete. Four years of 3.8 or better.
Also, I've taken the MCAT twice, with the most recent score (minus the writing portion, 'cause the new one is absolutely ridiculous and I contest its validity, though not officially) being reflected above (9-point increases for the win!).
Back to that whole timeline thing... 06/16/08 Submitted AMCAS! 06/18/08 WashU secondary in! 06/27/08 Verified! 06/28/08 Still waiting on the status of that committee letter. Writing apps for Ohio (will submit upon official invitation), GW (invited to complete, so no reservations!)! 07/07/08 Committee letter uploaded to virtual evals. Not received by AMCAS, not received by anyone else that cared to tell me about it. ;) 07/26/08 WashU still doesn't report having my letters, oddly enough. I'm complete at a bunch of places, but the secondary train rolls on! 08/19/08 Interviews! Time to finish up the rest of those secondaries! 09/01/08 I have written more essays than I care to admit. 09/09/08 Interviews!!! This is already twice as good as last cycle. ;) 10/19/08 One waitlist (it's letter-writing time!) and another interview invite to the great state of Ohio! Changed ethnicity to 'other' to reflect AMCAS ethnicity. I still look plenty caucasian... to some people. Causasian, then? 10/28/08 WashU invite!! I knew they didn't hate me enough last cycle!!
