Summary of Application Experience
Let me just say that this whole process......SUCKS. It is extremely long, expensive, exhausting, repetetive, unpredictable and confidence deflating. I think I went into it a little overconfident and I probably overreached somewhat in the schools I applied to. I pretty much went for schools in cool locations and with good reputations and probably should have thrown in a few more less competetive schools. I have heard through friends and others that this year happened to be really competetive and have more applicants than previous years. My advice is to apply to lots of schools and try not to have high expectations.
Though my first choice was always Northwestern and I still think its an awesome school and program, after getting in to MCW I got really excited about it. Milwaukee is a cool town, cheap rent, and a lot going on. I ended up getting the call from Northwestern a few days after signing my lease in Milwaukee, but I think MCW is a much better fit for me. Plus, it seems like its a really up and coming school, something I'd like to be a part of.
