Summary of Application Experience
I applied really late...everything was verified in December.....I took the first school that accepted me. I did not care about much else. Could have gone to Penn State, but would not let me defer admission for one year, so went to MCW. University of California Riverside was not a very good school, the health advisor doesn't know anything and should have done Bio med. program....much easier to gain admission to medical school through that, but High School counsler said not to. All people are unhelpful and try to screw students over, from secr. to prof.....most of whom are failed applicants themselves. DO NOT SEND LOVED ONES TO UCR....many schools expect a stellar performance to get into medical school, not really a needed to get into medical school. Almost all other people I know that were succesful in gaining admission to AMERICAN MD programs were minority applicants.
