Sept. 26: I just received a phone call regarding my first interview invite.... at LMU-DCOM!! This is all starting to seem real now.
Oct. 3: I received an invite to KCOM via email!!! I'll be interviewing sometime in Nov. I still have a few secondaries that I need to finish up...ugghh they're taking forever.
Oct. 22: I've been accepted to LMU-DCOM, which is one of my top choices - I'm thrilled!!!
Nov: I interviewed at KCOM and have been accepted!
I've sent my deposit in at LMU-DCOM and am thrilled to be going to this school - this entire process has worked out more perfect than I ever could have imagined.
A few pointers... 1.) I highly recommend using Interfolio to manage your LORs - Get your letter writers to submit their letters early so that when your app is ready you aren't being held up by LORs, the money spent on this service was well worth the peace of mind it provided.
2.) Don't underestimate the amount of time it can take to put together a quality personal statement and have several different ppl read/edit - this element of your application is not one that you want to rush or throw together.
3.) Have confidence in yourself...I just didn't even let myself think that I wouldn't get in this application cycle - worrying and stressing out won't get you any closer to an acceptance so don't waste your time/energy freaking out.
