Brief Profile:
awards- excellence in microbiology award deans list for 3 yrs extracurricular- president of the bio club for 2 yrs science editor for school paper junior yr volunteer- tutored hs student throughout college teaching experience- T.A. for human Physio lect + lab 9th grade english teacher for one yr (while studying for MCAT after undergrad) research- 2 summers of clinical research followed by 2 summers of lab research and 1 yr post bac fellowship at NIH all studying renal and vascular disorders. co-authored 3 (working on my fourth) papers shadowing- shadowed a neurosurgeon for 2 wks (over my winter break sophomore year) shadowed a vascular surgeon over the summer (i was working with some of his residents on a clinical study and he let me scrub in 2 or 3 times a week and watch - really awesome experience!!) shadowed an ID doc for the next two summers in the late afternoons after i finshed in the lab. she worked in the hospital i was working at and shes a family friend, so she encouraged me to come along and get a taste of what medicine was all abt.
