Summary of Application Experience
I was fortunate enough to get an acceptance to a school that I liked (USC) in november. That saved me from using a lot of money to interview at all the schools to which I applied. I was able to save a considerable about of money in doing this. I staggered my applications a little, the schools I really wanted to attend I sent off as soon as I got them. As a result, I was able to interview at all the CA schools first. By the time the out of state interviews came in, I had already been accepted at one good school and I was able to avoid all the plane flights. If you are trying to stay local, maybe you could do the same. I have been all over the world, and there is no place like California.
