Summary of Application Experience
Whew. This is such a long, painful, expenisive and random drawn out process. The stress has decreased significantly since my acceptance to Creighton in December! This was my first time applying, and I was extremely fortunate to be so succesful the first time around. Some recommendations: apply early-ish, apply to schools you only truly would go to if accepted, and try to relax! If your school has a committee letter option, take it! It is A TON of work in the beginning, but once you get it done, it makes the whole process SO much easier. Also, start working on your personal statement months before AMCAS opens.
Oh, on a funny side note: I bought a pair of Cole Haan heels that I fell in love with right before my Creighton interview, and wore them to the interview... and got in! So, if you want to get in, wear Cole Haans!!! :)
Good luck, and keep your head up! I know this process can be agonizing, but trust me it is worth it.
