Terrible August MCAT (28 - P9/VR10/B9) since I took the test before I had taken Bio and Orgo II classes.
Oc 15: Submitted AMCAS application with Emory, Mercer and Medical College of Georgia.
Oct 16: Fast response from Medical College of Georgia via email -- I think that the secondary application is sent to all GA residents.
Oct 24 added the following schools to the AMCAS application: New York Medical College, University of Virginia School of Medicine, Creighton University School of Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago-College of Medic, University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine, The University of Vermont College of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University of Wisconsin, Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
Oct 31: Received secondary from NYMC.
Oct 31: Received email from Mary Putnam at Mercer informing me that '...This email is to notify you that the 11/15 deadline for verification of your transcripts has been extended until November 29th.' -- This because AAMC is taking about 6 weeks to review transcripts.
Nov 16: AMCAS informs me that my application has been processed. Yippeee!
Nov 16: UIC secondary received.
Nov 16: Received email from Univ of Wisonsin: '...Next our Admissions Committee reviews AMCAS applications and extends invitations to submit our secondary application. This takes some time and means that it is likely you will hear from us again after a few weeks have passed.'
Nov 16: Received secondary from Case Western Reserve.
Nov 16: Received Emory secondary: ($90 application fee)
Nov 17: Received email from Univ of Kentucky. 'The University of Kentucky College of Medicine acknowledges receiving your application from the American Medical College Application Service. The University of Kentucky College of Medicine accepts primarily from the Kentucky resident pool. If you have a clear tie to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, you should inform the Admissions Office in writing immediately.'
Nov 17: UVA secondary received. Please let me get an interview!!!!
Nov 19: Vermont secondary received.
Nov 19: Submitted Emory secondary. Still have to mail in check, printout.
Nov 20: Tufts secondary recieved.
Nov 20: Creighton secondary received.
Nov 20: Georgia State Pre-med Committee letters are sent out to schools. (I've not added schools to the list that have not sent me secondaries yet. I'll have to update them as I go).
Nov 21: Sent email to Robin Rankin at University Of KY detailing every connection I could find to Kentucky. Sounds pathetic, so we'll see...
