10/2/18: Mt. Sinai interview completed. WOW I really loved the culture of this school. The students all seemed relatively laid-back but extremely intelligent. True pass/fail curriculum translated to very little sense of competition. I like the small-ish feel, and the interview questions I got were interesting. Of course, for translational research, and the accessibility of patients or clinical samples, it doesnt get much better than Sinai.
10/4/18: Withdrew UTMB since I cant make any of their three interview dates, and flying has been getting expensive. II from UCLA!!! One of my absolute top choices!

12/14/18: ACCEPTANCE CALL FROM UC IRVINE! This was one of my top choices so I am ECSTATIC. Ive withdrawn from about 5 schools now, but still waiting to hear back from some.
1/18/19: ACCEPTANCE FROM MT. SINAI! Got accepted to my tied #2 choices...would be hard to choose between the two, unless I get into UCLA.
6/25/19: FINAL UPDATE: After attending Baylors interview and being extremely impressed, and attending all three second looks, Ive decided to go to Baylors program. I stayed on UCLAs waitlist as long as possible, but its not going to happen, and overall, I am incredibly happy with my decision!
