Traditional applicant, Economics Major, and community college transfer. 1 gap year. No research but solid ECs with emphasis on the underserved community. I feel like I am proof that you should pursue your passions and craft a narrative over checking boxes. I did not want to do research nor had the opportunities during undergrad and that is completely fine.
Non-URM, Native Spanish speaker and WARS 75-79.
Fairly large school list. Applied to all UCs, 15 t20s (waste of time and money without science research tbh), and a couple of TMDSAS schools along with a few mission fits. School list could have been crafted better but it worked out!

ACCEPTED OFF OF THE WL!!!! Sent multiple updates, absolutely loved the program, San Antonio and their campus. In-state tuition offered after receiving Texas Competitive Scholarship. A dream come true.
