Brief Profile:
Senior honors thesis on the policies and challenges of latin american healthcare, with a case study of Guatemala. Research included 3 weeks in Guatemala visiting various health facilities and shadowing an ob/gyn at a family clinic. Deans list every semester at WMU, member of Phi Beta Kappa, Golden Key, study abroad for 3 months in Spain, volunteer with a safe ride organization, mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Received various awards, Medallion scholarship (competitive scholarship for 32,000), freshman chemistry student of the year, Dean's summer thesis research grant, Undergraduate creative activities and research award, and a spanish departmental award for demonstrated excellence in written and spoken spanish.
