8/13/2008 - First Interview Invite (University of Vermont)!!!!!!
8/19/2008 - Second Interview Invite (VCU)! This is my alma mater and my home institution in more ways than one!
8/25/2008 - Third Interview Invite (AECOM)! Super excited to get an interview in New York!
8/27/2008 - Rejected from BU. I\'m not too upset because it wasn\'t one of my top choices and it\'s super expensive. Plus a lot of great people were rejected alongside me so at least I\'m in good company.
9/3/2008 - Fourth Interview Invite (NYMC)! Finally a school that I can drive to!
9/10/2008 - I decided to withdraw my application from Rosalind Franklin University.
9/10/2008 - Fifth Interview Invite (EVMS)! Super excited!
9/11/2008 - Sixth Interview Invite (Albany)! That\'s two invites in two days!
9/19/2008 - Seventh Interview Invite (University of Maryland)!!!!! SO excited about this one - it\'s definitely one of dream schools and it was really a long shot being out-of-state!
9/22/2008 - Eighth Interview Invite (Columbia) - Totally surprised about this one. I\'m so excited!
10/2/2008 - Ninth Interview Invite (WVU) - Only one more to get into the double digits! I\'m so glad I got an interview here since I have pretty strong ties to the University.
10/8/08 - Columbia interview - I fell in love with this school... it seriously has everything I could ask for in a medical school. It\'s going to be a long road until March.
10/15/2008 - FIRST ACCEPTANCE (VCU)!!!!!!!! I am going to be a doctor!!!!!!
10/16/2008 - I decided to cancel my scheduled interview at Albany Medical College because I\'d rather go to VCU. I feel bad about canceling an interview, but they DID get my $105 application fee...
10/27/2008 - I called EVMS because I was curious to find out my status - and I\'ve been accepted! This would probably be the least expensive option for medical school but I really think I prefer a larger university atmosphere.
10/29/2008 - Rejected from Pitt. This is the first rejection that actually hurts since I was born there and have family there. And it\'s an awesome school. :-(
10/31/2008 - First waitlist: University of Vermont. I was super impressed with the school, but it\'s really expensive and a bit far away. I\'m happy to still be considered there, but I\'m not devastated to be waitlisted either.
10/31/2008 - Holy crap. I\'ve been accepted at University of Maryland. I am SO excited about this school - it\'s crazy awesome and I would be completely happy here! I\'m still holding out for Columbia, though...
11/26/2008 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I awoke this morning with a little Thanksgiving present - an email from NYMC saying I have been accepted!
12/9/2008 - Tenth interview invite (MCW). I\'m almost 100% sure I\'d rather go to University of Maryland, so I think I\'m going to decline the invite. But at least I\'m into double digit invites!
12/10/2008 - I decided to decline the interview invitation at MCW and withdraw. I hope this frees up a spot for someone else!
    12/12/2008 - I was waitlisted at WVU. It\'s not a surprise since I\'m OOS.
12/30/2008 - Eleventh interview invite (Jefferson). I\'ve been out of town so I didn\'t receive the email until 1/3/2009. The interview is in 4 days (1/7/2009) and I\'m still deciding what to do.
1/14/2009 - Found out I was rejected at Rochester (via snail mail) and Cornell (via status update). Oh well.
1/15/2009 - Ouch. Rejected at AECOM (I called the admissions office to get a status update). I liked the school, but I have a feeling I would have picked Maryland in the end anyway. It just sucks that it\'s my first post-interview rejection. I\'m still praying everyday for Columbia to come through - it\'s by far my first choice and a perfect fit for me!
1/20/2009 - Letter of intent sent to Columbia. I have heard that they respond well to these, so we\'ll see what happens. Columbia is far and away my top choice and I would go there if accepted no matter what.
2/6/2009 - I decided to cancel my upcoming interview at Jefferson. This was the hardest one for me to withdraw from - I really liked it when I visited Philadelphia last year, but I\'m pretty sure I wouldn\'t choose Jefferson over Maryland. Not only that, but I don\'t really have the money or energy to travel up to Philly for the interview.
2/9/2009 - Update letter sent to Columbia. I\'m so excited to share with them all of the fun stuff I\'ve been doing this past 6 months! PLEASE ACCEPT ME!
2/24/2009 - Received a rejection letter from UVA. Whatever. I don\'t think I\'d go there over Maryland anyway. I\'m just not a big fan of Charlottesville.
3/9/2009 - Got my post-interview rejection from Columbia. I\'m very very disappointed but life goes on.
