Summary of Application Experience
It's a huge relief to get into a school. I think the best advice is to submit everything as fast as possible. Get all the secondaries done as soon as they come in. I made the mistake of submitting some in october, and I didn't get many interviews because of that. Some hope for late interviewees: I interviewed at Creighton on March 24th and got in on April 1st. I know many schools purposefully leave slots open for late interviews. Also, both JMC and Creighton loved that I brought in a little one-page summary of my research to the interview. It helped in explaining it to someone who hadn't taken orgo in 20 years. Additionally, try to be well-rounded - take humanities courses or join the debate club. My two interviewers at Creighton spent half of the time asking about my experiences with mock trial. Lastly, apply to a ton of private schools (besides Hopkins, UPen, etc.).
