Summary of Application Experience
I think my MCAT scores probably helped me get noticed and showed that even though TESC didn't have grades, I can perform on a test. I don't know if anybody read the evaluations in my transcript - if they did, I think they would definitely come away with the sense that I am an excellent student. Some of the evals are quite flattering.
My clinical experiences were helpful, especially my massage career which enabled me to gain an appreciation for the value of a hands-on (no pun) approach to healthcare. I was able to talk about OMM with knowledge and passion and I think it helped to illustrate my motivation during interviews.
Final Advice: Apply much and early. Have a genuine interest in Osteopathic Medicine. I found after interviewing and visiting schools that my top choices were quite different than the paper analysis I did when initially applying. Gut feelings definitely play a role in the decision.
