Summary of Application Experience
I really learned from the process. In PS, BS, and writing my MCAT scores exceed those of my first choice's (UVA) average for matriculants. I assumed that the admissions panel would see this and not have a problem. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE ILLS OF A POOR SECTION SCORE! I should have just retaken the MCAT since I was getting 37/38 in practice. The Assistant Dean of Admissions personally told me that my verbal was what was keeping me out. Don't have a red flag on your app.
I loved VCU and can see myself in a bigger city anyways so I'm going there. Loved it.
Good luck!
Rock on!
