Summary of Application Experience
I am a re-applicant. First time, applied to 9 schools and did not get a single interview (cum GPA 3.3, BCPM GPA 2.9, MCAT 27). Second time, applied to 28 schools and got 5 interviews so far (graduate BCPM GPA 3.8, MCAT 29). I am non-native speaker, and my verbal MCAT sucks. Still, my hard work paid off and I am grateful I got 5 interviews and 2 acceptances. I hope my profile serves as an encouragement for non-traditional students and reapplicants. Don't give up, believe in yourself, and work hard. I think my PS was very strong (as told by all of my interviewers), and I believe I had strong LORs. My advice is to put your heart and best effort into your PS (it IS very important), and get LORs from people who know you well and are openly willing to support you in this process. Finally, apply early - I didn't, which possibly didn't get me more interviews. This process has been so draining (mentally and financially) and unnerving, I have been on an emotional rollercoaster.
