Summary of Application Experience
I submitted my AMCAS application a little late (mid-August)for having taken my MCATs in April 2004. I received most of my secondaries within a few weeks but waited until close to the deadline to turn each in. I had eight interviews out of the 13 secondaries I turned in so I don't think it hurt me too bad. I've definately found that you don't really get to know a school until you actually visit it. The waiting to hear about interviews and whether or not you're accepted is a lesson in patience. It's definately nice to know I'm going somewhere this fall, but I still can't wait for the whole process to be over.
6/06 - The process is finally done! I'm going to UCSD so I get to stay in San Diego (I've been working down here for the last year). I'm definately happy with how things turned out and I feel very lucky to have gotten the number of acceptances I did. Overall, a very expensive process that I am thrilled I don't have to repeat :)
