Brief Profile:
Will populate more when dust clears.
Very thankful for the choices I have. Financial aid of chief concern -- and will likely be determining factor. Will attend school that is the best fit/offers the most aid/scholarship.

Was my first interview invite which was really cool! Liked my interview day -- they seemed to pamper us! Health disparities research available. Interview cohort was fun too -- lots of friendly people with only a few gunners in the mix. Will consider strongly if offered a merit scholarship later.
Interview impressions: Faculty were kind, and I had intellectually stimulating conversations about the origins of Humanism and the Italian Renaissance. A few challenging ethical questions, but I enjoyed when the physicians pushed for more concrete answers. MMIs were SO FUN. Blown away by their awesome interview day. 5/5

Blown away by the opportunity to interview here. Sadly, entire interview day is strictly protected by a non-disclosure agreement. But I left happy and refreshed. A strong contender for sure. :) 5/5

Really like that they practice medicine through a social justice lens. Dean Wofsy is awesome and he seemed to have so much faith in UCSF students that I felt humbled just sitting there during my interview day. The other interviewees were really great too and friendly. Would be happy to have the opportunity to come here.
Interview Impressions: First interview was great! We had an intellectually stimulating conversation about the pursuit of health equity and the lived experience of poverty. He asked challenging questions, but I think I answered them well. Second interview was significantly more challenging. Questions probing about my research and methodologies. Also asked a lot of questions drilling my background. Both interviews are closed file, so you have a lot of flexibility in where you want to steer the conversation. 4/5

It seems like a great fit, from its focus on diversity and health disparities. Very impressed by PSOM's focus on community health and improving the health outcomes for the most vulnerable. Great scholarship as well.
Interview Impression: Faculty interview was <10 minutes long which was a bit of a turn off. Asked two questions and then kicked me out of their office :(. Student interviewer was much much better and we hit it off really well. Some challenging questions, but I enjoyed the way that they challenged my answers. Love love loved my student interviewer. Administrator interview was a bit disconcerting. It was as if interviewer was instructed to be very stiff and show no emotion on their face. Walked away with a lukewarm feeling about PSOM. 2.5/5; probably a 5/5 if for my student interviewer alone. Student interviewer probably single-handedly made me love UC.
