Summary of Application Experience
My AACOMAS application was complete in June 23, 2005 and for AMCAS in mid July. My sincere advice is to apply early because the waiting sucks and to never give up until you have the medical school acceptance letter in your hands. It took the MCAT three times (15M, 17M, 24M). Make sure you are ready for the test and put forth the effort to prevent taking the exam again.
My improvement on the exam is due to reviewing both Kaplan and Princeton review books on my own. I took all their practice exams (cover to cover which are to many to count, which made the difference!!). For verbal I recommend the examkrackers philosophy because it worked for me.
I f@#$%^ up my first two years of college but made up for it the next two. In addition,I took on a masters project to solidify my acamdemic background.
To those that are having a hard time believing that they are good enough!! I believe that if you really want to get into medical school then you can do it by being well rounded. Many people will tell you that you have no chance because of this or that but I believe in you!! Dont give up!! Western c/o 2010!!!!
