3 extended research experiences (molecular bio, public health and health systems design) - between 4-6 publications in the pipeline to be done before med school (1 first author, 3 second, rest as lowly author)
100 hours shadowing
various other leadership experiences (club leadership, sports teams, music instructor)
I think one of the most important parts of my app was my 6 letters of rec, 2 from world renowned scientists, 2 directors and 2 faculty and all extremely personal and positive - based on the comments in my interviews I think these really made my cycle so successful.

Application Cycle One: 06/06/2016
Undergraduate college: UC
Undergraduate Area of study: Biological/Life Sciences
Summary of Experience:
Grateful to have received an interview here. My logic in applying was that if for some reason I only get in here at least I will be in Hawaii. Must be a beautiful place to live.
Summary of Experience:
Thankful to have received an II. Withdrew after Mayo acceptance as being an international my funding would have been extremely limited. A great school in a truly charming town.
Summary of Experience:
Rather disappointed in being my first post-II rejection. I don't think the interview went well. Coming from Columbia and Hopkins I was rather underwhelmed despite the quality of this school and I think it may have come across during the day. Hospital is wonderful though I do think being in the upper east side really shields you from the true diversity of NYC.
Summary of Experience:
Bellevue is the selling point. You will not see as diverse of a patient population anywhere else in the United States. As this was my first interview I don't feel like I can accurately give impressions, I had nothing to compare it to.
Summary of Experience:
Had Hopkins like vibes in terms of clear wealth of hospital and resources for students. Really liked my visit and St. Louis seems like a great city. Unfortunately, being an international student, WashU doesn't give aid and I could only attend if given scholarship.
Summary of Experience:
The housing was top tier for NYC and very affordable. Really cool programs (google, delloite, etc.) and great facilities. Though a great place, other NYC schools were superior.
Summary of Experience:
You can tell this is one of the best and a truly incredible place. Even in comparison to upper-tier schools the difference was clear. Is my top choice from where I interviewed, hoping the best from the waitlist.
Summary of Experience:
The Yale system is amazing. Facilities are underwhelming in comparison to other schools but atmosphere and philosophy were a good fit, hoping for the best from the waitlist.
Summary of Experience:
Extremely underwhelming in comparison to other schools. The difference was stark. Clearly utilize waitlist and LOI's to keep acceptance rate low and yield protect. Up to 5 updates (i.e. love-letters) allowed? You've got to be kidding me
Summary of Experience:
The new facilities are incredible all they need to do is update Bard Hall. I loved the P&S club and the general vibe I got from students and staff. Likely my second choice behind Hopkins. Hoping for some waitlist movement but from what I've heard they waitlist nearly everyone who wasn't taken. - Accepted off the waitlist!!!! Unbelievable.
Summary of Experience:
A unique place. Selectives, access to Mayo clinic and the small class size distinguish this place from many others. Clear focus on mission and fit more so than purely stats or success. Grateful to have received the opportunity to study here.
