Summary of Experience:
I was just happy to get an interview here. By October I was expecting a rejection, so anything made me happy. The school was awesome.. I was intimidated by the other interviewees for sure.
Summary of Experience:
I LOVED Duke. I kinda messed up one of the MMI stations so I was happy to be waitlisted. This was another interview where I was humbled by the other applicants.
Summary of Experience:
Despite the rivalry, I loved Michigan. It was obvious this is a school on the rise. The admissions office is so helpful, friendly, ... all positive. I really enjoyed the mix of standard interviews and MMI.
Summary of Experience:
I was super impressed with UChicago. My first interview and I was so impressed with how laid back the entire day way. The entire staff was so personable, and the rest of the interviewees were incredibly friendly.
Summary of Experience:
Pitt is a really solid school. I liked the school and city but nothing particularly stood out as extraordinary. They did a nice job of matching your faculty interview to your research.
Summary of Experience:
I really enjoyed learning about Case the day of the interview. I was positively impressed by the city, which to be honest seemed like a downside at first. The hospital systems are incredible, and the small group curriculum is pretty unique and well thought out.
Summary of Experience:
Probably my best experience with current students. They all seemed so happy, and I had a great time at the dinner the night before... The normal "pizza plans" fell through and we went salsa dancing and to a local chicken restaurant. Super fun. I was also pleasantly impressed with the school and the hospital system.
Summary of Experience:
Accepted via text message (lol) at midnight from Dr. Capers. This is where I went to undergrad, and I was positively surprised with how much I enjoyed the interview day.
Summary of Experience:
I interned at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for summer and was really expecting to be in awe of the school, but the interview day was just way too short to impress me. It was by far the shortest interview day I attended, and there were the most people interviewing on the same day. Also, the time spent talking about the school was focused on statistics about the city that I did not care about. With that being said, I still respect the school especially because of Cincinnati children's. Also, the medical school building is very nice. The MMI was actually kind of fun!
Summary of Experience:
Again, I was very pleasantly surprised by Northwestern. The difference between is UChicago and Northwestern is quite dramatic with the area of the city and the patient populations, but I enjoyed them both.
