Summary of Application Experience
This is my second time going through the process. IT FNUCKING SUCKS!!!!!!!! My only hinderance that I can conceive was my crappy verbal score. Last year I had two interviews and 0 hits. This year I did my stuff really early and applied on the first day in June. I still applied dispite retaking the MCAT and still with the crappy verbal. I hate that section. After more than 20-30 thin envelopes I finally got the big fat one from UIC. So I will be withdrawing from PCOM, VCU and the rest of the schools. I'm so excited with but any one who is determined can do it. If your letters are strong alongside strong extras you can get an interview. Once your in the interview you have to shine. Yes the MCAT is important, I found that out by getting my thin envelopes; but for all the no's one schools will see something beyond the MCAT and give you an opportunity. Don't give up, if your score is low, take it again. If you don't get in the first time, take it with a smile and go through the process over again. Once your in the interview you have to go in there with the mentality that you got a 41 and be confident and show the school your more than an MCAT score. Thank you for those who gave me supportive comments. Hope you receive happiness throughout this process. And for those who had not...If you would spend more time improving your application instead of bashing others maybe you'll have a chance and hopefully you can get the big envelope.
