I never thought that I would have this much success in this process. It was very tough for me to decide between UW and MCW. Both schools really are dream schools for me. In the end, I decided on UW (accepted 11-5-2005 one of the happiest moments in my life!). My adivice for future applicants is to not get caught up in the MCAT/GPA numbers game in this process. Just give your best and focus on making youself unique. This makes the interview process much easier because people will want to ask you about your own unique story instead of focusing more on things like grades. When I interviewed, nearly every interviewer wanted to talk about my experiences as a welder/pipefitter. This made the interviews fly by quickly and comfortably. Lastly, I wanted to add that I began my undergrad career at UW-Marathon (a 2yr campus)and transfered to UWSP. I completed the first 2 yrs at UW-Marathon. So for you fellow transfer students out there, don't let any one tell you that you will have a hard time getting into med school! It certainly can and has been done by others. Good luck to all future applicants!!
