Summary of Application Experience
I started working on the primary application when it opened. It was time consuming, especially entering all of my coursework (the curse of being a double major). I wrote my personal statement in Word and edited it multiple times before typing it straight into AMCAS. I proofread my entire application at least twice before submitting it. I submitted the afternoon the portal opened and it took 8 days for it to be approved.

Summary of Experience:
Rejected pre-secondary. I didn't meet the qualifications because they said I was "out of region." I knew it was a long shot when I applied. I appreciated that they told me before I completed and paid for a secondary application.
Summary of Experience:
There were a lot of long pauses in my experience with Meharry. I received the secondary application far later after the others; they acknowledged receipt of my primary on July 5 but did not send the secondary until July 22. Since submitting, the only correspondence I have received from them (as of 11/22) is that they have an unusually high volume of applications and are processing them more slowly than usual (received 10/21).
Summary of Experience:
This was by far the hardest secondary. There were lots of essay questions, and the word limits were much higher. I had to work on this over the course of a few weeks while I finished shorter applications.
Summary of Experience:
The application took quite awhile because I applied for the Leadership in Medicine for the Underserved (LMU) track, and it had to be completed at the same time as the regular application. I was pretty surprised at my rejection, honestly; I fell squarely in their GPA and MCAT range and identified closely with their mission, besides being an in-state applicant.
Summary of Experience:
This was the most straightforward application, IMO. I answered the questions like questions and less like essays. Attended California interview and was really impressed by the campus, but chances are I won't matriculate here if accepted.
Summary of Experience:
I loved this school from the start, and that feeling only got stronger with my interview day. I loved the location, the program, the opportunities afforded by the hospital system, and their strong social mission. Their communication was good and their secondary application was easy to navigate.
Summary of Experience:
I cannot say enough great things about this school. I originally applied because it has a solid reputation and I'm a Michigan resident. I had no strong pull towards the university. But between my interview experience and the correspondence I've had with the school over the months, it made its way to the top of my favorites list.
