Brief Profile:
I completed an independent study under the College of Science, photographing chicken embryos throughout the 21-day gestation period. In May 2000, I was awarded a spot in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS) Student Honor Show Exhibition for my three-photograph series of an open-air market in Riga, Latvia. In July 2002, eight of my photographs were featured in a solo artist exhibit in San Francisco at Gallery Flux, displaying an artistic rendition of crystals taken with a Nikon microscope and illuminated with polarized light to illustrate their vivid, dramatic birefringence properties.
