Summary of Application Experience
7/11- better late than never. Stony accepted me off the waitlist!! Waitlist stories aren't rumors, they are TRUE!!! I'm very happy since I've been wanting to go here since day 1. Now to find a pretty house to live in!
5/9 NICE! another acceptance :) and i was thinking of withdrawing from Tufts, how silly I was!!
4/17 I'm SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Downstate accepted me :) now it's between jeff and downstate, big decision. my heart says downstate, but i'm not sure. but still, two acceptances with my not-so-great numbers is quite an accomplishment. happiness abounds!!
3/27 I'm officially convinced this process is random. Rejected from Buffalo with out an interview?!? WTF? no more than a blow to the ego. Waiting sucks in waitlist hell.
11/13 Not happy about Stony Brook, I was really counting on them to accept me. I guess a waitlist isn't the end and I'm still happy about Jefferson.
10/20 I'm going to be a doctor! I withdrew from a lot of schools after my Jefferson acceptance. I kept the New York schools and Tufts (but I'll probably withdraw that one as well).
10/9 I think I'm rare amoung those who post on this site given my stats and success so far. This game is way more than just numbers. You need to be an interesting candidate and have a personality adcoms can relate to.
AMCAS submitted 6/1 and processed 6/18 (there was some trouble with the way they calculated my grades). All my secondaries were sent by the end of August and most were sent by the end of July. GET EVERYTHING IN EARLY!!!!!!!!!! I think that is why I've been invited to so many interviews so early on. Waiting is terrible, but everyone goes through it. I'm hopeful that it will work out in the end.
