Summary of Application Experience
MCAT 516 (129/129/129/129)
Wrote bunches of updates and letters of interest throughout the cycle. Their effects are dubious. Hard to predict the outcome of the interviews, but generally, the most sincere interview receives the best result.
Practice doesn't always make good. Something just feels more sincere the first time. A good 'speech' was ruined by repetition. By speech I mean, the answer to "why medicine", which is asked almost in every interview.
After several interviews, I found my flavor for schools. System-based, tech-oriented, immigrant-friendly, open-minded, forwarding thinking. Those words sound vague but rarely schools fit those criteria if judged critically.
A rewarding growing experience, glad to have found and been accepted by a dream school I respect and like. Pretty proud.
