Summary of Application Experience
So even though I didn't ace the MCAT I did well enough to get interviews at some of the best schools in the nation. I am extremely happy with the process and hope that by May 15th I will be saving my spot at a top choice. Here is what I think got my this far:
1) Very Very Strong LOR's (Have a about 6 very strong from doctors and professors)
2) Good trend in GPA
3) Strong activities including leadership roles
4) Good AMCAS and secondary essays
5) Came from a single mother, father in jail
So, the only downer is the MCAT. I have been lucky enough that schools have turned their attention away from the score and looked at me as a whole. Good luck to anyone in this process and I will keep you all updated.
