Summary of Application Experience
Hoping for the best! I think my low sGPA (Cs in a couple prereqs) really hurt my MD app. I also did not have publications at the time of applying. If I were to reapply for MD schools, I would strengthen my research and clinical experiences as well as look into retaking the 2 prereqs I had Cs in. But hey I got into a DO school and at the of the day I will be a doctor!
Summary of Experience:
My first II! Waitlisted :( Accepted off the waitlist!!! I definitely think my persistence played a role in getting the acceptance. After getting waitlisted I sent a letter of interest in January. Then in April I attended a DO school recruitment fair where I met a representative from the Middletown campus and spoke to him about my situation. The day after the fair I sent a letter of intent along with major research updates. I also shadowed a DO (which I did not have in my application file and this came up during my interview). I'M GONNA BE A DOCTOR!!!!!!!
