6/29/05-so far I have only applied to four schools, still figuring out the rest. I submitted friday, they are still waiting for a transcript from a cc that I took one class at, which said it already sent it...wonderful.
6/30/05-they got all my transcripts...finally. Application is ready to be reviewed.
7/1/05-added six more schools. Added all the non FL schools. Application is being reprocessed, although it was never processed originally. Now waiting for secondaries. Hopefully I can get those all in by the time school starts.
7/12/05-finally processed. BCPM gpa went down from 3.94 and overall gpa went up from 3.84. I have gotten a secondary from USF, and an email from UF. I was supposed to get something from UM, but UNF's server crashed and all of my incoming mail was erased. I dont think I will have time to get started on the secondary this week, but I will definetly do it next week. DMB this weekend!
7/13/05-got a secondary from UM.
7/20/05-got a secondary from UF. Received email from Wake Forest saying they had my app and would get back to me.
7/22/05-got a secondary from FSU. i really need to get started on these already! procrastination is really kicking in...

7/29/05-got a secondary invite from tulane through snail mail today. not sure if i will apply there...UF sent me a email telling me my application is not complete yet...i need to get on those already
8/02/05-turned in UM's, FSU's, and WF's supplementary online app
8/05/05-finally turned in USF's secondary. I sat on that essay for too long but I wanted to make sure it was good. Who knows if thats how it turned out... I couldnt edit that thing any longer. For now I'm done with secondaries, done with school...time to play some guitar
8/10/05-my LOR's package was sent out today for UF, USF, UM, FSU, and WF.
8/12/05-got a secondary from Emory. Also got a notice from UF that application is complete.

8/22/05-I'm 22! Not that exciting of a bday though. Also, UNC sent me a letter saying that a secondary will automatically come with an invite. Pretty cool, because that means I dont have to pay for the secondary unless I get an interview invite...
8/29/05-The head of admissions from UFCOM called to invite me to an interview! Holy crap, its in a week and a half...
8/30/05-rescheduled UF interview to the 16th.
8/30/05-Rel called from USF today and invited me to interview, scheduled Oct 3.
8/31/05-rescheduled USF interview to the 10th of october. I will be in Orlando for wedding that weekend anyways.
9/07/05-lots to update today. So I received my first rejection. USC sent two letters snail mail. I got them both today; one was a application is complete letter, the other a rejection. Very nice touch, sending them together. Well at least they got my 75 bucks, right. However, I did get an interview from UM! I just have to figure out when I want to interview.
9/13/05-not too much to update because not so much happening these days. I set up my interview at UM for Friday the 7th of October. So to sum up: UF on 9/16 (coming up soon :-0 ) UM 10/7 and USF 10/10... I want FSU so i can have a grand slam! :)
9/14/05-so I had heard that WF has not been updating their interview invites, so I decided to give them a call. To my surprise, she said I was invited! So, this makes number 4. Its pretty far away, so I might have to fly :( But I think I will try to make a weekend trip out of it with my gf...I have yet to schedule it.
9/16/05-First interview today, with UF. I was somewhat nervous beforehand but it really wasnt that bad. Well, the first interview kinda sucked. The interviewer was older, really not that interested in me (thats how he came off). Not sure if I made a good impression. The second interview was great. We had a great conversation, really nice guy (MS4). Overall a good day, I really like UF.
9/21/05-so I got a call today from Barabara over at FSU. I got an invite to interview! So that makes it a grand slam. Feels good saying that :) I am interviewing sep, 30...not that far away! I also called WF today and scheduled my interview for Nov 21...they are filling up their interview days fast!
9/27/05-nothing new to report besides that I received an application is complete file from Emory. I would like an interview from them, I hope it happens...so for now just getting ready for my fsu interview on friday.
9/30/05-FSU interview. Overall it was a nice stress free day. The facilities are amazing, the school is pretty well equipped technologically and all the faculty I met were very down to earth. The learning communities are all really cool and I really liked them. Both of the interviews were really easy and went great. I think that I did really well :)
10/7/05-so I had my interview today. It was very laid back and a very enjoyable day My interview went very well. The students were all very nice and the clinical affiliates are all exceptional. I should find out oct 19 at about 6pm!
10/10/05-interview at USF today. I really like the school. The support system for students seems excellent and the clinical training seems to be up to par as well. First interview was ok, second was really great. I'll find out morning of oct 19!
10/18/05-so I got a letter in the mail from UF today. I'm waitlisted there. I kinda expected that, but was hoping to get in right away so I can make decisions sooner than later. So we'll see what happens with that...
10/19/05-so Rel called me from USF today....I am accepted! Very exciting news. It was funny, the way he said it: 'You can now put yourself on the wall of fame, congratulations.'
10/20/05-got the email from Dr. Hinkley this morning. In the subject line was 'Acceptance at UM!' I've actually got a choice of med schools! I dont think this has all sunk in yet.
10/22/05-received official acceptance from USF
10/24/05-received official acceptance from UM.
10/28/05-called up FSU and they said I was accepted!
10/31/05-I sent Emory an update letter with another letter of rec about a week and half ago. I'm not sure if they received it or not, because when I called them late last week they said they didnt receieve it yet, but I got an email invite for an interview today! I have to reply and confirm, but they said the date would be 12/12/05.
11/01/05-interview has been confirmed for Emory for 12/12/05...its a long day from 7:45 to 5:00pm, and that 3 on 3 group interview makes me kinda nervous...hopefully all goes well.
11/14/05-withdrew application from WF
12/12/05-interviewed at Emory today. The staff and interviewers and med students were all very nice. The panel interview was not that bad, mainly because the interview took place in the afternoon and I had met with the other interviewees and one interviewer (the tour guide) beforehand. I really like Emory, its just that the cost is crazy. We'll see what happens...
3/2/06-its been a while since I updated, because not much has been happening. I still havent been accepted to UF or Emory (I dont even know if I am on the waitlist at Emory or not). I sent them both letters of interest today. I have been filling out financial aid papers for USF. We shall see....

5/11/07-since my last comment, I have come back from Europe (good times, recommend for all), deferred my acceptance to USF, got a job as a research coordinator for a UF Jax Urology, worked for a year, decided I want to move to Israel, got accepted to Sackler medical school in Tel Aviv, withdrew my acceptance from USF (difficult decision to make), and am now moving to Israel in August!

9/13/05-Wow, thanks for all the nice comments, its much appreciated! I am not exactly sure how to reply officially but this may be it...anwyays, I was complete at UF on the 16th of august, and my requests for my LOR's were all over the place...the first was during Fall 04` and the last was probably this past June... the majority of the requests occuring spring 05`. I got six total. Well seven if you include the peer letter.
9/14/05-The fish I use and am still using is Fundulus heteroclitus, F. grandus, and a possible third species, F. confluentus. Also known as the killifish.
10/13/05-I dropped duke for a number of reasons. I didnt have an intense desire to go there, it was a long secondary that I didnt want to complete, and it was 100 or so dollars that I didnt want to spend.
10/23/05-hey thanks a lot! its still settling in :) but it is really nice to know that all the pre med stuff has been validated; the acceptance validates the hard work :)

10/26/05-what a good question...and a nice problem to have. I think at this point, choosing between UM and USF, I am leaning towards USF. I think it mainly has to do with location; however, both schools are really good and I am officially undecided at this point.
10/29/05-thanks a lot! It feels great to have schools to choose from. And my research is going great too...we got our sequences back from Mayo and they turned out great. We have one chance for a restriction enzyme site...we'll see!
11/02/05-I was complete at Emory on 9/21.
