Summary of Application Experience
It all worked out in the end! UW is a top ten school at in-state tuition. Can't beat it. As far as advice about the process, take the April MCAT and APPLY EARLY!!!!! I think applying as early as possible (most of my secondary?s were complete by the middle of August) is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Also, make yourself interesting. Admissions people spend all year interviewing people with great grades and MCAT scores who worked every summer in a lab, blah blah blah. It is a huge plus if you have done some cool stuff that you can talk about in your interviews. Finally, don't waste your money applying to lots of state schools in states you have no connections to. Ironically, these were all of my backup school and I didn't even get interviews at any of them.
