Brief Profile:
~200 hours hospital volunteering, ~40 hours shadowing, I also had about 3 years of research in an undergraduate laboratory - a couple poster presentations but no publications. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer 2013-14, then as Peace Corps Response 2015-16. My AMCAS wasn't ready until September because I had to wait to finish Orgo II and Biochem over the summer.

Summary of Application Experience
Kind of a crazy application cycle. Got back to the States late 2014, took organic and biochemistry, then sat for the MCAT in August 2015. Basically filled out and submitted all the secondaries within a week of the scores being released in mid-September, then flew out to start my PCRV position in Africa in October.
Radio silence and rejections until Dec, when I got an II to UConn. Scheduled and bought plane tickets, then emailed all the schools still considering me since this would be my only chance to get back to the US for interviews. II's from Netter and Case. Flew back for two weeks and did the three interviews. I heard back early February, withdrew from everywhere except Case once I got my Netter acceptance. All-in-all still reeling and impressed that all that actually worked.
Summary of Experience:
**Frank H. Netter MD SOM at Qunnipiac University** I really wasn't expecting much when I went to the interview, but Netter is amazing! Such a good mix of people in their student body, and the facilities are gorgeous. So happy to get an acceptance here.
