Brief Profile:
I enlisted in the Navy in 2003 right after high school. I applied to and then subsequently attended the Naval Academy in 2005 and graduated in 2009 with a BSEE. I went to the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, and earned my MSEE in 2010. After that, I served as a submariner at sea for three years and in operational testing and evaluation since 2014.
I decided I wanted to be a doctor while serving aboard a submarine. I completed basic pre-requisite work in my time off, evenings and weekends. Applying to medical school has been a great opportunity!

Summary of Application Experience
I applied late in the cycle for 2016. My application was slightly delayed because I was still completing pre-requisite work. My application was also delayed because I took the MCAT twice, first receiving a 501 and then receiving a 505 the second time. My second MCAT score wasn't available until October 12th, 2015. It wasn't until after the second score that I submitted the majority of my secondary applications.

Summary of Experience:
Wish I could apply. My application was opened and closed on 10/6/2015. Second MCAT score was 10/12/2015. Probably rejected before I could submit secondary because MCAT (501) was too low.
Summary of Experience:
Rejected. Decided not to apply. Received a cold form email from the school stating OOS applicants have no chance unless they are a second Jesus. Ignored it.
Summary of Experience:
Good school. AMCAS complete on 9/4. Invited for secondary on 10/8. Ironically, the same day VCU opened and closed my app. 5 days before second MCAT score came out! Nothing yet.
Summary of Experience:
My hail Mary school. Probably have less than a billionth of a percent chance to get in - on par with the likelihood we are actually living in the Matrix.
