I've applied to 30 MD schools, but there's a good reason! I took the 2014 MCAT, got a 31, and applied broadly to what may be considered mid to lower-tier schools this cycle. After taking the new MCAT in July and getting a 522, I decided to add some schools that are a bit higher tier! I don't recommend this to anyone: filling out 30 secondaries (or just about) is exhausting work.

First rejection. It stung a bit, but from what I've been told, my numbers might've been too high for them. I don't know if this is true, but I have to say, that explanation brings me more comfort than thinking I wasn't good enough. :(
