Summary of Application Experience
Not from Illinois; applied to and was accepted by my state school. MCAT did not have writing section. Every school I interviewed at was awesome, but my favorites were: Harvard, Penn, Duke, Mt. Sinai, and Michigan. In the end, my choice came down to a balance of cost and intangibles.

Summary of Experience:
Absolutely loved Mt. Sinai. Wish I could have given it a better shot, but the money wasn't there. Pros: Flex tests are amazing; the student body is awesome; housing is great for the area; right near the subway. Cons: cost and less access to financial aid.

First acceptance, and I loved the school. Pros: Merit scholarship; A2 seems like a very fun town; admissions dept. could not be more welcoming. Cons: 2 year pre-clinical seems outdated, and they are changing for next class. A2 might get a little boring, as I went to undergrad in a city.

Summary of Experience:
Matriculating. Post-Interview top 3. Pros: Amazing faculty, students, and research; Boston is an amazing city and closer to my s/o; easier opportunity to match into Harvard residencies (I want to be in Boston long-term). Cons: new curriculum (will come with kinks); not as cheap as other options, but still less than 150k total debt.

Summary of Experience:
Post-Interview Top 3. Offered merit scholarship and need-based aid that would have equaled full COA (or very near it if I lived more extravagantly). Pros: well-established curriculum; smaller class size; research year built-in Cons: unsure if I would want a full year of research; Durham was very sleepy

Summary of Experience:
Pros: Nashville is very fun; good student body. Cons: New curriculum has kinks, and board scores aren't as impressive as some other schools with this change; the south isn't for me.
