Summary of Experience:
Again, was invited to an interview after being accepted at Rush, ended up turning it down due to my preference to stay in Chicago and not Milwaukee, and each school is of pretty equal caliber.
Summary of Experience:
Was invited to interview in late December, and after some thought I decided to go--moving to the East-ish coast has always been a little dream of mine :)
The interview was very comfortable, applicants were all nice and the current students were incredibly welcoming. It was a similar vibe I got from Rush.
In the end I was waitlisted, and when it got a bit closer to May I decided to withdraw my name, as I think that Rush was ultimately a better fit for me, and closer to home.
Summary of Experience:
LOVED Rush. Everyone was so incredibly nice at our interview, we got to go on tours of both Cook County and RUMC, meet with faculty and current students.
Summary of Experience:
The interview at this school was very different than the other ones I went on--they conducted a "multiple mini"
I actually found the MMI to be more fun and thought provoking than I imagined, and the plus to this style is that there really isn't any prep work you need to do.
The one thing I did not like was that they encouraged us to talk to faculty at lunch as an "extension" to our interview about personal things like volunteering/research b/c the MMI didn't allow for that. I wish they would have had an opportunity to be more relaxed around faculty than feeling like you had to tell them every detail of your bench research between bites of sub sandwhiches.
