Summary of Experience:
Withdrew after Baylor acceptance.
Waitlisted for MD admissions as well on January 29
Waitlist notification came on October 16th by mail. :( Really thought the interview went well...
Had my MSTP interview on 8/31 and MD interview on 9/1. It was a wonderful experience and I absolutely fell in love with the school and the program!! Everyone I met there was extremely nice and genuinely interested in getting to know you as an applicant. Both the MSTP and the MD director basically said that once you've gotten an interview, your stats don't really matter anymore and the purpose of the interview is really to figure out whether you're a good fit for the program and vice versa. The research happening at this institution is top notch and the UPMC is an amazing place. Pitt seems to be particularly strong in their clinical training and all the students I met seemed really happy. Looking forward to my admissions decision on October 16!
Marked complete 7/21 -- MSTP II on 8/6!! My first II!!! So excited!
Summary of Experience:
Interviewed for MD-PhD -- WOW! I was really impressed by Loyola and how kind all the students and faculty are there!! The positive impression on my interview days definitely raised Loyola up in my list of schools. :) The MD-PhD interviews were two days and consisted of a marathon of interviews with MD-admissions, and research faculty. As opposed to many other schools, ALL interviews are evaluated! But in general, it was really laid back and everyone was just so nice. Really fell in love here.
