Summary of Application Experience
Applied late due to crazy life events.
ECs 100 hours of shadowing Helped start bass fishing club + competed nationally in college bass fishing 150 hours volunteer tutoring TA'd two courses 500 Hours tutoring student athletes Few other minor things i'm forgetting
Gap year activities hospice care volunteer tutoring for employment (middle school kids + high school kids, at a company)
was told my personal statements was excellent by multiple interviewers. i'm a philosophy minor and explained how that influenced my motivation to pursue medicine, among other things mentioned.
Alot of my dates are approximate, other than complete date. But theyre very close.
I did this whole thing incorrectly. I applied very late, to not that many schools (7), to only one of my three in state schools, without a committee letter(due to late app), without all that much clinical experience(no clinical volunteering on my primary, but I did a fair amount throughout my gap year and with my late interviews I was able to talk about it quite a bit), and with no research. I'm under no illusion that without a 39 on my MCAT / 3.95 gpa I wouldn't have had this success with such an atypical cycle. The other key is I have a very strong motivation towards medicine from my philosophy background and my goal in being a physician mentor(as evidenced by my ~1500-2000 hours of tutoring). So with my grades and motivations I think I was able to quell and reservations the adcoms had about me.

Summary of Experience:
Currently on hold but will just assume rejection because they were the first school to get back to me. On hold in november or december I believe. As an OOS I probably needed research or more direct clinical experience to have a shot there.
Summary of Experience:
Was EFI. Never got an interview but that was pretty expected due to the late app. Probably shouldn't have applied there, but love the area so it was worth a shot.
Summary of Experience:
Nice school. IS so I would love to go here. had a crazy time getting there, so I was sleepy during the MMI and flubbed one of the interviews. Questions were so-so but still loved the place and would love to go there
-- Well got rejected from here. Not too surprising with getting an Ii two days before the last interview, it was pretty clear they didn't want me. Oh well
Summary of Experience:
Loved this place. hoping for an acceptance. Both of my interviewers were awesome. Students all seem really happy and Jeff has an awesome rep in philly and the surrounding area.
Got the II shortly after I sent them an update/LOI
