i really wish i'd used SDN more regularly before applying, because my school list would probably look a lot different. i'd have applied much earlier too -- really had no idea how important this was, and i think it hurt me a little. ah well

Summary of Experience:
UVM is pretty much my first choice. it was also my first interview, and my interview skills weren't as good as they were later in the cycle. love the campus, love burlington, love the facilities, love the curriculum, please for the love of god get me off this waitlist.
sent 2 impassioned letters of interest, one soon after being waitlisted and one after i had already gotten a few acceptances
Summary of Experience:
was THRILLED to receive an II from here, i guess the SDN CW about geisel liking non-trads was true (wish i'd applied to brown now too...grrr). the campus is gorgeous, obviously, and it's hard to argue with the research opportunities (particularly TDI, for me) and their record of placing residents. only thing i wasn't in love with was the medical school facilities/library, which are REALLY old...
was overall very impressed and pleasantly surprised with the interview day here. i love the beautiful new school, and the ability to learn and serve in CT is appealing to me. ultimately i don't think i can choose this over more established schools with better residency placement track records
Summary of Experience:
5k/year scholarship, but withdrew. decided i didn't want to be at the binghamton campus for clinical years
liked this school a lot -- whether i matriculate here will depend on whether i can get the syracuse campus. (and whether i hear back from UVM and dartmouth)
