Brief Profile:
I am a double major Biology and Anthropology with a double minor is Theology and Social Justice Theory. - I have done about two years of research and so far have one coauthor publication. - I have done nearly 1000 hours of non-medical volunteer work as well as 4 international service trips, and independent study, and I am currently working on a social justice related senior capstone project. - I have received a few honors from my university including membership in the highest honor society in the university. - My biggest downfall is that I have relatively few shadowing/medical volunteering hours. Also, I took my MCAT a year early to avoid the new format and therefore my score suffered.
Anyways, lets see how this goes.

Summary of Application Experience
- I pre-wrote basically all of the secondary essays for the schools that I applied to so I was able to send in my secondaries relatively quickly. I had submitted all of my secondaries well before the end of July (for the schools that sent me their secondaries in July that is. Which did end up to be probably 95% of them.)
- 07/14/15 I received my first interview invite and I am so happy. I was not expecting to get an invite this early but I am ecstatic! hopefully more to come but I would be so incredibly happy to go to Tulane.
- It is now August 29 and .... I am starting to really freak out. I have received about 9 pre-interview rejections and only have 1 interview so far. Also, I have been waiting almost two months to hear back from some of the schools that I have applied to so ... fingers crossed for some good news as we head into September. One piece of advice for anyone in the application process: STAY OFF SDN! seriously, I love the site but it will freak you out! I check every single day, multiple times a day, just to see everyone else getting invites while I sit here depressed and anxious. It really is not healthy.
9/8 so I just got my 8th rejection and... whatever
