Summary of Experience:
Good grief, New Hampshire in February is the coldest I have ever been in my entire life. Wind chill was -30F. Made for a fun afternoon of traipsing around in a suit and heels trying not to eat it on the ice. Applicants are more mature, lots of nontrads w/ families. Close-knit program, but I think my soul might freeze.
Summary of Experience:
Could see myself here. Texas medical center is massive, but you can rotate at all of the hospitals instead of just one unlike most university medical centers. They toured us through the anatomy lab and the students were…laughing! While studying for a practical. Everyone here seems to have a great quality of life.
Summary of Experience:
One of my last secondaries to submit… almost counted them out entirely when I got to the secondary question about awards/achievements/recognitions. Haha was super shocked to get an interview here. Getting to New Haven was a pain, but it definitely had the ivy league, New England vibe. Not sure if I could survive the winters here, but we'll see.
Summary of Experience:
First time in NYC. Very nice part of town, and all the training facilities are gorgeous. Students live in dorms their first year, but what else can a med student afford on the upper east side of Manhattan? haha
Summary of Experience:
Thought I would get some love from alma mater dear, and felt like a rocked the MMI which is saying something bc I never leave interviews feeling great about them. I really would have loved to stay in the area, and the curriculum and faculty would have been a good fit. Not hopeful. Cmon duke I thought we had something special :(
Summary of Experience:
First Acceptance! Got this call while walking back from my USC Keck interview. It's a new program that is very close to home. In-state tuition is a plus, but the lack of an attached academic medical center is iffy for me.
Summary of Experience:
Quick turnaround for this acceptance! I was actually late to the interview day info session because of LA traffic… guess they let that one slide. SoCal weather hard to pass up, this interview was a vacation for me.
