Moderate amount of clinical experience including volunteering at an Emergency department, translating in a clinic and shadowing a doctor for about 5 hours. Also a certified EMT with about 100 hours of field work.
Significant amount of research experience both clinical and basic. Second author in a publication published in the journal of virology. Numerous awards from my institute pertaining to my research. Presented research in over 15 conferences in California, New York, Missouri, and Philly.
I also applied to Quinnipiac School of Medicine. It is a new Medical School in Connecticut. I interviewed here on January 8, 2014.

My first invite of this cycle. Everyone I talked to seem very friendly and happy to be there. The curriculum is solid and prepares you exceptionally well for Step 1. 2/3 of the exams taken in the first 2 years are retired board questions!

This is my home university and my second interview invite. Interviews were very relax. Know your application and you will be fine. I feel i did very well on both interviews. I am very optimistic about Stony Brook.
