Summary of Application Experience
aspiring physician and I am targetting DO schools only. Naturalised American. At this point, have been in the country for about 8 years. working as a medical interpreter for the past 3 years. also applied to Alabama COM and Marian. Marian put me on pre-interview hold before denying me interview. KCUMB and CUSOM auto-rejected before even sending my secondaries. No research experience but GPA is pretty competent 3.72.
Took the MCAT in 2013 and did not have a writing section, so the score is a made up one!
I have got 4 interview invites this cycle. Attended 3 and got accepted at 2 schools! I cancelled one of them. It looks like I am headed to LMU-DCOM to get my medical education and become a doctor!
Summary of Experience:
interview invite. scheduled for 11/15/2014 since it is bit far away and I need some time for preparation. I had submitted the secondary on july 17th but could only get completed on september 5th because I forgot to send the LORs. This was my first medical school interview invite! I scheduled my II to March 28th, 2014 as I have three other IIs!
Summary of Experience:
fourth interview invite! getting excited! yahoo! They took a long time to get me completed and also long to send me an Interview invited! Excited anyways! So the interview was really relaxed. It seemed converstational. One on one 30 minute interview with a D.O and a Phd followed by a closed file interview with OMS2. The OMS2 interview was the more like a scenario based interview and relax. The school has a nice atmosphere. Everything looks great. I do see myself attending and living here. Just worried about Spartanburg's crime rate but I think it will be ok! So I got rejected here! No worries! I did feel my interview did not go as good as I had during my first two ones. But its ok!
Summary of Experience:
So I called LMU-DCOM to get an update on my application after hearing nothing for two months. Guess what, Ms.Robin from the admissions dept was like "When do you want to schedule your interview"? 3rd interview invite! The interview was the best one so far. Very laid back! almost conversational. I felt that I give better answers this time around. Really liked the school, the area and everything the school has to offer. Really hoping for an acceptance. One week to wait!! Got the acceptance call on 11/14 at around 6:30 PM. Was expecting it around 4 pm but thrilled anyways. 2nd Acceptance!
Summary of Experience:
Intially put on pre-interview hold. scheduled for interview for 10/27. So the interview experience wasn't too bad. I am not a great speaker so I may have talked a bit fast and froze up during one of the questions and said something else. I love this school and I am confident of getting a quality education here if I do get accepted. Now for the 2,3 weeks waiting period for a decision. Stay positive! Accepted on 11/12..first medical school acceptance. This is real!
