Summary of Experience:
Status changed to "Application has been reviewed. At this time we are unable to offer you an interview" on 10/29. Assuming this is/will be a rejection.
Summary of Experience:
I was marked complete August 1st, and the portal said I would hear back within 12 weeks. Then they moved it back to 16 weeks. Then January. Then February. Long story short, this school was super disorganized this year. I'm just glad they finally gave me a decision!
Summary of Experience:
So happy given they don't offer many interviews to OOS applicants. Loving this school more and more every time I look at it. LOOOOOOVVVVE this school!! Students are laid back and really willing to help each other learn. Public Health!! I really hope this one works out!
So after being rejected, I set up an appointment with one of their academic councelors to find out why I was rejected. She told me there was nothing wrong with my application and that if I had been from Wisconsin or from outside of the midwest, I would have been accepted.....super frustrating. I think it would have been better if there had been some flaw they could have pointed out :/
Summary of Experience:
Interview was awesome! The whole staff was super friendly, and the interviews were pretty laid back. They are renovating a lot of facilities to make things nicer. Known for cardiology and pulmonology especially. Felt really comfortable here. You get actual grades but there is no competition between students for those grades...everyone can get honors if they do well on the exam...not curved. Creates a collaborative work environment. Team-based learning groups.
Really disappointed about being waitlisted here...I thought my interviews went very well. I wish they would tell me what they didn't like.
Can't believe it! :D LOVE THIS SCHOOL! MD/MPH all in 4 years, AoSC, super early clinical exposure, definitely will be prepared for intern year, in the middle of downtown Chicago :), TBL and PBL-group work woot! I hope I hear good news soon!! Deferred until March. Kind of bummed, but it was to be expected.
Summary of Experience:
Withdrew 4/22 First acceptance! I'm gonna be a doctor!! :D First II :) Really liked the school. Systems-based physiology. Team-Based Learning sessions. Beaumont hospital is awesome. Highly ranked in many specialties. Friendly, supportive staff.
Really surprised I got accepted outright because I felt like my interviewers were attacking me and my application. I thought this was going to be a rejection for sure!
Summary of Experience:
Unfortunately withdrew 5/15
Accepted MD/MPH! Now I have the opportunity to leave the snow behind :)
Both MD and MD/MPH Liked this school a lot, which was unexpected. Super early clinical exposure. One on one time with attendings. Focus on small group learning like PBL. 2 degrees in 4 years. Underserved communities. Warmth. Spanish.
