Brief Profile:
I'm a non-traditional applicant who decided to become a doctor during my senior year of college, when I realized that psychiatry would be a better fit for my career interests as opposed to clinical psychology, which is what I had been considering up until that point. I spent the year after graduating taking post-baccalaureate pre-medical classes. I know I have lower stats, so I'm hoping that my clinical and research experiences, recommendations, and personal statement can make me eligible, somewhere! Also on the positive side, my grades have a strong upward trend (I had drop in grades my sophomore year of college, but it has been 5 years since I've had a C on my report card) and I am currently obtaining a Master's Degree in Public Health. This is such a stressful process, but I know we can do this! Fingers crossed, everyone, and good luck to all of you! &&
